Iceland is set to expand its network as it revives its store growth plans with a search for up to 250 new store sites.
Iceland’s requirements include a minimum footprint of 10,000 sq ft, while especially targeting retail parks England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, reported The Grocer.
Locations specifically named include Brighton, Crawley, Dundee and Salisbury, alongside suburban areas of Glasgow, London, Manchester, and Newcastle.

The new stores would more than double the frozen food specialists‘ number of Food Warehouse stores, which currently sits at just over 200.
The supermarket is understood to working with its property advisor Mason Partners LLP, who had in the past led the search for new locations for numerous retailers, including Dunelm, Poundstretcher and Superdrug.
Food Warehouse stores were first launched in 2014 as an experiment, the stores are usually located in retail parks are often around three times the size of traditional Iceland shops.
In 2021, Iceland managing director Richard Walker said The Food Warehouse had become the focus of growth and expansion for the frozen food retailer.
